Hitec Sure, a leading technology and telecommunications firm based in Johannesburg is seeking an  Service Desk Support Agent to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis with various career growth opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Service Desk Support Agent, you will be required to effectively navigate and understand the unique systems operated by the firm, while providing world-class customer service to our base of customers:

  • Provide 1st line support, dealing with incoming faults in a professional, courteous manner over the phone and via email
  • Conducting full and thorough diagnostics with end users to enable first point of contact fault resolution
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems to the customers satisfaction
  • Maintain and develop own knowledge and skills to assist with first time fault resolution
  • Identify and escalate repeat issues or service risks into service management teams
  • Sharing knowledge with team/colleagues
  • Remotely assist teams onsite with relevant networking assistance 
  • Working hours are shift based


Requirements:

  • Matric/N3 or equivalent
  • Own means of transport to work and back 
  • CompTIA A+ Essential &/or N+ &/or CCNA &/or IT Diploma will secure an interview
  • End User Desktop support & knowledge of Microsoft Windows client operating systems (Windows 7,8,10)
  • Basic knowledge of IP networking and protocols, e.g. HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DNS, WINS, DHCP
